Making a difference one wagging tail at a time.

Does your best friend make you smile?

Yeah, ours too.

This is why we volunteer our time and resources with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs to provide a service in which your best friend can become certified as a therapy dog, so you can work together to spread joy and happiness to those who need it.

Having your dog certified as a therapy dog can give you the ability to share the smiles that your dog brings to you, with others.

The focus of certification of a Therapy Dog is the well-being and the behavior of your dog. In addition to this, how you and your dog function and perform as a team is equally important.

We are seeking out well-rounded dogs who display good manners, good behavior and genuinely enjoy meeting people. While good obedience skills are a plus in therapy sessions, certification as a therapy dog does not require formal obedience training.

All dogs who are seeking certification must be up tp date on vaccines and have a negative fecal exam within the past year. Participating dogs must be one year of age. Membership is $30 a year (plus an initial one-time $10 new member fee).
